On 21 May 2025 we visited the Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC) in Dewathang. We were inspired by their commitment to applied engineering education and innovation. As one of the oldest and a premier institute under the Royal University of Bhutan, JNEC offers a diverse range of undergraduate and diploma programs designed to meet the evolving needs of Bhutan’s workforce and infrastructure development.

JNEC’s academic offerings include Bachelor of Engineering degrees in Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Surveying & Geoinformatics, alongside diploma programs in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics & Communication Engineering. These programs emphasize hands-on learning, equipping students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for real-world applications.

ITPL is pleased to offer our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) courses to the students of JNEC, supporting their preparation for safe and successful careers in engineering and construction. We are excited to establish a strong and lasting relationship with JNEC, and we look forward to contributing to their mission of developing technically skilled and socially responsible professionals.

Our visit reinforced our belief that JNEC is not only a Centre of academic excellence but also a driver of innovation in the country. We commend their efforts in shaping our country’s future through education grounded in technical rigor and national values.
