Bio

Mrs Carli Sheers brings lived experience expertise, unique knowledge, abilities and attributes in mental health and psychosocial disability from the lens of human rights and social model of disability.  She sits on Australian state and national bodies; an international council; government committees; advisory groups; research teams; and boards as a Consumer Consultant. She has co-authored journal articles for The Clinical Teacher, Medical Education, The British Journal of Social Work, and Social Work Practice Journal.

Mrs Sheers holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Edith Cowan University (1995 Dean’s List for academic excellence), and technical qualifications in mental health, mental health peer work, community services, training and assessment, and micro-business operations.  She is a skilled educator, is accredited in Mental Health First Aid, and certified in World Health Organization Quality Rights.
